BROOKE SHIELDS (Buckley) currently stars on the hit NBC series "Suddenly Susan." Born and raised in New York City, Brooke Shields began her career as a child model, making her first stroll down the catwalk at age three. Her first feature film was the murder mystery Alice, Sweet Alice, with her breakthrough role in Louis Malles controversial film Pretty Baby. A graduate of Princeton University with a degree in French Literature, other film credits include King of the Gypsies, Just You and Me, Kid; Endless Love, Brenda Starr, Tilt, Backstreet Dreams, Wanda Nevada, Sahara, The Muppets Take Manhattan, Running Wild, Freeway, and The Blue Lagoon. She recently completed production on MGMs The Misadventures of Margaret, The Weekend opposite Gena Rowlands and James Tobacks Black and White with Robert Downey Jr. and Ben Stiller. Shields has starred in such television movies and miniseries as "After The Fall," "Wet Gold," "Legends of the West," "The Prince of Central Park," "The Diamond Trap," "Nothing Lasts Forever," and "I Can Make You Love Me: The Story of Laura Black." For the stage, Shields made her Broadway debut as Rizzo in the revival of "Grease," and also appeared in two regional productions of "Love Letters." |
